Change field type from Long Text to Symbol with existing data

Hi All,
We have data in our contentful space. Can we change field type from long text to Symbol with data migration? Currently ctf-migrate does not allow it? Is there any way to do that?

Hi @hcalboru

To perform this action, you will need to create a new filed as Symbol, migrate the Contentful of existing long-text one to the newly created, then you could remove the old field.

To do this, you can still use our migration tool, please look at Migrating the content in our tutorial:
