Hosting images in Google or Dropbox

If I use the Dropbox app or Google when “uploading” an image to content, does it count against the 50MB asset limit? I am specifically asking in cases where you have an image in dropbox (for example) and you connect through dropbox when uploading an asset in the UI.

If the asset is hosted in Dropbox or Google, and you simply store its public link in Contentful, the asset won’t be updated to the Contentful server and therefore there is no limit enforcement from Contentful.

If the asset is uploaded to Contentful, regardless of where they were hosted before, then the enforcement will take place.
