Where to begin when you're new to Contentful

After implementing Contentful for the last 5 years for a variety of teams, I noticed a pattern in the teams that had success with a headless CMS vs. those that didn’t.

The pattern was that each of these teams used a process called the Waterfall Method, and applied it while they were setting up a content model.

The Waterfall Method took the actual challenges those teams were facing and used them to inform a list of requirements their content model should fulfill.

Why is this process helpful for Contentful?

Contentful is a flexible tool you can shape in so many different ways. This flexibility means that it’s on you to figure out how Contentful should satisfy your team’s needs and wants.

This process helps ensure that what you’re creating actually works, and doesn’t make your team’s life harder.
