I’m trying to create a field in my content model to store an array of symbols, but I can’t seem to find an option for that.
How can I create it?

The Contentful webapp refers to symbols as short text and arrays as lists. When you add a new text field to a content type you see the following options:
To make an array of symbols (also called a short text list), just make sure to select the list option on the right side of this screen.
